Maybe she should have wished for "children"

She always wanted to be a mother, but was heartbroken to find out she was rather infertile and the chances of her getting pregnant was very slim. She consulted a variety of doctors and found no solution that could help her, other than adopting. She was just about to give up on her dream of getting pregnant when she received a small package. There had been a knock at the door and when she opened it she found no person, only a unmarked brown box. Being a curious person as a rule, she didn't think twice before opening it. Inside the package was a dull red gemstone, the size of an egg, and a small note that read;

Hello there,

You have been selected to receive a special gift. A once it a lifetime offer
to have any one wish granted to you. This gemstone is a magical artifact of
great power and we have determined that YOU yes you, are to receive it's
Power.

Simply hold the gemstone to your chest in both hands and state clearly

I Wish for ________________________________

And the gemstone should softly pulse with light, that is how you will know
the wish has been granted.

A final word of caution, be careful how you word your wish, the magic has
been shown to be a bit... particular with wording, and not very good at
reading someone's intent.

Anyhow....

returning the gem, it will disappears once used.

A Magical Friend

She burst out laughing as she finished reading the note. A magical wish granting gem? Alright, she had heard everything now. If magic was real she would have found away to get pregnant long ago... She picked up the gem and held it to the light. It looked ordinary, plain even. It wasn't particularly shiny, or terribly heavy, and it's color was a little brownish red. There was no way that it was really magic... And she would prove it.

She held the gem close to her and said "I want to be a mother, I want to be pregnant, I wish... I wish I was pregnant so I can finally have kids!"

She startled as the gem started to glow fiercely, growing painfully hot within seconds. She dropped it to the floor with a thud and it flashed a blinding light and vanished.

She rubbed the spots of light from her eyes, and looked down for the gem, it was gone. She couldn't help but notice that her belly felt kind of heavy when she bent down, and she was dumbfounded to see that she looked like she was 5 months pregnant as she stood. Her belly was rapidly swelling before her eyes and her breasts swelled in tandem. The gemstone was real, it was real magic, really real magic. She was pregnant, she was actually gonna have a baby. She doubled over as her belly swelled out suddenly, as the second and third "kid" arrived. She had wished for plural kids, not just one, and now she was carrying triplets.

She waddled over to a nearby chair and sat down, the heavy weight of her new belly sat on her legs warmly. It was so big, but she loved it, she ran her hands over it and giggled when she felt a kick. She would have stayed lost in her maternal bliss for hours if a splitting headache hadn't interrupt. She felt like her skull was going to split in two, even her ears and nose hurt. She gritted her way through the pain and began to walk to the bathroom cabinet to get some Tylenol. By the time she reached it the pain had subsided mostly, but it wasn't the pain that was disturbing her, it was her reflection.

It looked like her, it moved like her, but it wasn't her. It had a large curved pair of horns, and huge floppy ears, and a strange nose. She didn't want to believe it, but it kept moving exactly the same as her... it... she was some type of... of goat girl. The magical gemstone had interpreted kids as the children of a goat, and thusly she would need to be part goat.

The sudden realization that she was now half goat, and that her children were also most likely little half goats too was frightening, and she began to panic. There had to be something she could do... the note!

She ran over as well as she could managed and grabbed the note. She reread it multiple times and saw no solution, there had to be... something she could do... maybe... maybe her husband had an idea. She called him and explained what had happened and to no surprise, he wasn't exactly buying the story. Eventually she managed to convince him to come home fore a lunch break and show him exactly how she looked now. She was relieved that he wasn't repulsed by her heavily pregnant half goat body. He actually thought it was kinda cute in a weird way, and he had the perfect idea. They had been saving money to buy a vacation home by the lake, but his uncle was trying to sell his farm on the edge of town, they could always buy it from him. His job paid extremely well and she had a some money left over from some freelance work she had done last summer, maybe this was the perfect time. They could live at the farm and raise a family.

It wasn't quite how she had imagined being a mother, but she could live with this...
