Nautilei the Cecaelia

Nautilei's fun filled spring break ended abruptly as she touched the strange coral encrusted statue. Scuba-diving had seemed like a fun enough idea, and she had a great time swimming with all the exotic and fish with her best friend Lani. When they happened upon a sea cave, Lani motioned for Nautilei to follow her and swam in.

Nautilie went after her, seeing her friend swim upwards towards a shimmering light. They surfaced in what looked to be a cave, illuminated by a slick glowing fungus coating the walls. With only the illumination provided by the photo luminescent slime, they quickly removed their scuba gear. Lani brushed her short hair from her eyes. Normally a dark brown, her hair was jet black in the lighting, framing her deep tan skin darkly. Lani smiled looking to her friend. Nautilie was still removing the last of her gear, her pale naked form hopping on one foot as she removed it. Lani stared openly at her unaware friend, appreciating how her long blue hair clung to her curves and ample bosom. Lani was admittedly jealous of her breasts, as perky c cup was not match for the double D's her friend sported. Nautilei could not see the blush spreading on Lani's face, and moved past her to marvel at their location. Wat had at first seemed a simple sea cave, upon closer look, was the ruins on a ancient temple. Towering columns covered in the discarded shells and snails, intricate mosaics half submerged under the pooling sea water. And at the rooms center lay a stone dais. Upon it sat a statue, its human face glared down at the girls contorted in a permanent howl of rage. Bulging arms held a massive harpoon held ready to be thrown. The lower half of the man was that of a massive fish.

Lani startled Nautilei, grabbing her by the shoulders "Now theres a man for you Nauti, Haha. Too bad hes more fish than man..."
Nautilei scowled at Lani "Very funny... you nearly jumped me out of my mind. And are you cold? I am freezing my butt off."
Lani grinned thinking of her butt "Com'on Nauti, lets look around a little bit more before we go, you wont freeze.."

Nautilie sighed, and followed Lani toward the statue. Lani busied herself inspecting various discarded seashells, while Nautilei walked up to the statue.
"What do we have here!?" Nautilei said with a smile, grabbing a shining object from a seaweed covered stone positioned in front of the statue.
With a firm grip she yanked the pearl free, overbalancing and tumbling to the ground, making a large splash. Lani rushed over concered for her friend.

"Nauti you okay?" she asked, helping her friend up.
"I'm fine, i just slipped.." she replied sheepishly. "Oh, but looky here what i found!" Nautilei raised the sparkling orb.
Lani reached out to inspect the impressively sized jewel, but as her hand touched the object, a strange sensation shot through her arm, and Nautilei's as well.
"Ouch! what the hell was that!?" Lani groaned.
Before Nautilei could respond there was a loud cracking screeching noise, and the entire room started shaking violently. Lani grabbed Nautilei and pulled her close, the tough girl was legitimately frightened at this point.
From behind them came a booming sound, the echoed painfully through the sea cave.

"WHO HAS DESECRATED MY TEMPLE, WHO DARES TO TRY AND STEAL MY SACRED STONE!" The girls looked in shock as the mouth of the statue moved as if it were alive. "TWO CHILDREN I SEE.... VERY WELL, I SHALL TEACH YOU A LESSON OF CONSEQUENCES FOOLISH ONES. I GIVE YOU A CHOICE, JOIN THE CREATURES OF THE SEA AS MY SUBJECTS, OR THIS ROOM SHALL BE YOUR TOMB!"

The walls of the cavern shook, and rocks fell from the ceiling. Nautilei yanked on Lani's arm "We have to get out of here! the whole place is falling apart!" Lani looked at nautilei with a vacant expression for a moment before returning to her senses "Y-yah lets get out of here!"
The girls ran for their scuba gear, but as they neared it a large section of wall collapsed in front of them, spraying them with rocks and seawater, and burying their gear.
Nautilei frantically started digging through the rocks, But Lani realized they had only moments to escape "Were gonna have to swim for it!" she yelled pulling Nautilei to the cave mouth.
With no other choice remaining, the girls dived into the water.
They swam for what seemed like ages, but the surface was still so far away. Nautilie felt her panic build as her lungs screamed for air. She cast a glance at her best friend one more time, before her vision darkened and she couldn't hold her breath a moment longer....

Nautilei woke up feeling heavy and stiff. She panicked for a moment, realizing she was still at the bottom of the ocean, but then she noticed she wasn't dying actually. Actually, she was breathing the water in like it was air. When a thick greyish purple tentacle slapped against her face she nearly creamed, and when she twirled to face her attacker and realized those tentacles where part of her, she did scream.
Nautilei was now a Cecaelia. Half woman half octopus. And she was still at a loss for words when a strange creature swam right up to her.
"Nauti! your awake finally. Thought you might'a got a concussion or somethin" the strange creature said more in Nautilei's mind than aloud.
"Lani!? is that you?" she asked looking at her friends new body.
Lani now had a long fined tail between her legs, and a unmistakable dorsal fin of a shark. A series of gills ran down her neck, and a toothsome grin betrayed Lani's enjoyment of her new form.
"Like what ya see?" she chided, squeezing her now ample boobs together. "Lets get out of here before old Aquaman changes his mind and kills us for real!"

Epilogue:
The girls found life at the ocean floor to be far more simple and fulfilling than their lives above the sea. And it was not long before Lani confessed her true feeling for Nautilei and they fell deeply in love. Nautalei never quite got complete control of her tentacles, and they tend to be a bit more touchy and feely than shed like, but she was happy with her new life.
